About Roland Talanow

Dr. Talanow, is a native from Germany, who studied medicine at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg/Germany where he also completed his PhD. He completed his Radiology residency as well as a Nuclear Medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland/Ohio.

Dr. Talanow is a US Board certified physician and has been director of Nuclear Medicine while working in private practice.

He started being involved in teaching and IT, especially web-based technology, as early as in the mid-1990s.

Dr. Talanow has published several medical books related to the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) as well as Radiology.

He continued to focus his work on Radiology and web-based education and developed and presented many web-based programs that serve this purpose, some of them being society awarded.

During his career, Dr. Talanow has founded the largest online community for Radiology professionals, Radiolopolis, the PubMed indexed Journal of Radiology Case Reports and became chief editor of a novel interactive Radiology case review book series which is published in conjunction with the publisher McGraw-Hill.

Currently, Dr. Talanow is working on several educational and clinical projects in Radiology while academically affiliated with the University of Bern and clinically active as medical director of a private clinic in the Cayman Islands.
